Our client is a leading UK food manufacturer with a well-established site in Long Sutton, operating one of the most advanced facilities in the industry. They're now looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their night shift engineering team.

Role Overview:

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of a large-scale manufacturing site. You'll work across mechanical and electrical systems, supporting continuous production and contributing to a culture of operational excellence.

Shift Pattern & Hours:

Permanent Nights: 18:00-06:00
Shift Pattern: 3's & 2's (rotating)
Mechanical/Electrical Split

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: £60,762.79 (inclusive of shift allowance)
Flexible Holiday Scheme: Buy up to 5 additional days

Key Responsibilities:

Proactive response to maintenance and breakdown issues to minimise downtime.
Execute PPM schedules, repairs, CI initiatives, and capital work.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and food quality standards (GMP).
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across engineering processes.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and senior leadership teams to meet operational targets.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and follow through on root cause fixes.
Communicate effectively across departments and with external suppliers/contractors.

What You'll Bring:

Time-served apprenticeship (multi-skilled preferred).
Experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Skilled in fault finding, root cause analysis, and use of CMMS (preferably SAP).
Strong diagnostic ability - mechanical, electrical, PLCs, and process systems.
Solid understanding of H&S policies including permit to work systems.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team.
