The Role for the maintenance engineer

A proactive and electrically biased Maintenance Engineer is required to join a well-established engineering team at a fully automated, SCADA-controlled production site operating 24/7. You'll work as part of a team of 3 engineers per shift, ensuring plant and equipment run reliably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of the maintenance engineer

Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of plant and machinery
Support optimal machine performance and reduce downtime
Perform routine site walk arounds for general facility checks (leaks, alarms, switches)
Mechanical work including replacing beater bars, bearings, chains, belts, sprockets, and ensuring proper alignment
Assist in commissioning new production lines
Ideal Candidate Profile for the maintenance engineer

Electrically biased with strong mechanical competence
Electrical Qualification
PLC fault-finding experience
Comfortable working at height and in physically demanding conditions
Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
