About the Role:
A leading Facilities Management company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their dynamic and growing team, providing high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across a range of commercial properties in the Edinburgh area.
You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and minor installations, ensuring all works are delivered in line with compliance standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance across a range of commercial buildings.
*
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform fault-finding, repairs, and replacements as needed.
*
Complete minor electrical installations and modifications in line with BS7671 wiring regulations.
*
Maintain accurate records of works carried out via handheld devices or paperwork.
*
Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with current legislation.
*
Work independently or as part of a team, liaising with clients, colleagues, and contractors as required.
*
Assist with general building services and multi-skilled support tasks when necessary.
Requirements:
*
Time-served electrician with City & Guilds 2365 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
*
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) certified.
*
Proven experience in a maintenance electrician role, ideally within FM or commercial environments.
*
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
*
Good understanding of health and safety practices.
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
ECS card (desirable).
*
PASMA/IPAF or other relevant H&S certifications (beneficial).
