EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Redditch, that is currently in the market for a Press Setter/Operator to join their company on a permanent basis.
This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

* Hours: 39 hours per week working the Day Shift; 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and Friday 07.30 to 12.30 with designated breaks

Your responsibilities will include:

As a Press Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for the completion of press operations in an efficient manner that is in accordance with the Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels

You will:

* Have experience in reading and understanding the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.

* Be able to demonstrate manual Handling of heavy and expensive tooling utilising hydraulic equipment

* Be able to demonstrate material handling – loading and unloading of metal coils

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

* 2+ years of working experience in a precision engineering environment

* The ability to set and operate Presses in a precision engineering environment

* Confident in forming sheet metal components with the use of CNC or Manual Press Brake (Both would be advantageous)

* Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools

* Prior experience setting up press brakes with the correct tooling and settings required

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions

* Prior experience working with thin-gauge sheet metal in a press environment
