OBJECTIVES
This part-time role would be suitable for someone looking to utilise their existing warehouse skills in our dedicated warehouse or someone new to warehouse management upon which full training will be given. The role works closely with all of our sales functions and contracting departments ensuring that deliveries when stock is available are made on time and to the correct locations. The role also works closely with our Purchasing Department in terms of purchase ordering and the booking in of goods received. You will be front facing with delivery services both in and out so must act in a professional manner with all such service providers. The warehouse function is part of the overall finance function and following the correct procedures is vital in protecting the company’s stock assets. You will be given the support you need in terms of training. The role will require excellent communication skills along with enthusiasm and commitment and will suit a good team player who wishes to contribute towards the company’s overall success.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Warehouse management of over 2,000 components. Ensuring warehouse is well ordered, bins are labelled, accurate stock records are maintained in the electronic system and the correct paper trail in relation to stock movements is processed.
* Planning and ensuring efficient delivery of stock to construction sites and to fulfil customer orders.
* Manual handling – heavy lifting might be required
* Loading and unloading lorries in a safe and efficient manner
* Moving boxes, items and pallets using an electric pallet truck
* Packing boxes and preparing pallets
* General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth operation
* Receiving, processing maintaining and planning/distribution of non-stock deliveries
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
* Driving licence
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Computer literate including Microsoft Office
* Able to multitask and prioritise workload
* Able to work within a team as well as on own initiative
Desirable
* Electric pallet truck licence
* Previous experience dealing with BMS, valves and actuators would be useful
* Previous experience working in a warehouse or someone wishing to learn from scratch
***Please note that this a part-time role. 30 hours per week, 9am - 3.30pm (core hours are negotiable)
