Job Title: Teacher of Performing Arts (Music and Drama)

Location: East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Northampton

Job Type: Temp to Permanent, potential for straight to perm, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £140 - £220 Per day

Job Duties:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Music and Drama
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback for improvement
Organise and oversee extracurricular activities related to performing arts
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and enhance teaching methods
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Music or Drama
Experience teaching Performing Arts subjects at secondary level

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Degree in Music, Drama, or related field
Demonstrated passion for the performing arts and teaching
Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music and Drama
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications or training in Music or Drama education
Experience working with diverse student populations
Participation in continuing professional development related to performing arts education
