Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician/Fitter to be engaged on a permanent basis, based in Workington.

Profile:

Assemble, install, maintain and repair mechanical systems and components in line with engineering drawings and health & safety standards.

Use precision hand and power tools to fit bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, and pipework.

Conduct alignment, measurement and testing tasks to ensure proper fit and function.

Interpret mechanical drawings, BoMs, schematics, and technical documentation.

Collaborate with engineers and other trades to support installation, commissioning, and planned maintenance.

Perform fault-finding and corrective actions to ensure operational integrity and minimise downtime.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and materials consumed.
