Aztrum is working on behalf of a forward-thinking and well-respected environmental consultancy looking to expand its London-based team with the appointment of a Junior to Consultant-level Acoustic Consultant. The Role
As an Acoustic Consultant, you’ll contribute to the delivery of environmental noise and vibration assessments for a variety of planning and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support technically sound and commercially aware solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting environmental noise and vibration assessments
Carrying out site measurements and baseline monitoring
Using acoustic modelling tools such as CadnaA and ODEON
Assisting in the preparation of planning reports and Environmental Statement chapters
Contributing to noise mitigation strategies in collaboration with clients and design teams
Engaging in professional development and learning across the wider environmental disciplines
Candidate Requirements
We’re looking for a motivated and technically capable individual who is looking to grow within a supportive, ambitious team. The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Around 1–3 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy (graduate experience considered)
Familiarity with acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA, ODEON, or SoundPLAN
Good written and verbal communication skills
An analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail
A full UK driving licence (or working toward one) and willingness to travel for site work
