Jackson Hogg is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Melsonby with the appointment of a Team Leader.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a strong electrical assembler who naturally leads from the front. Around 60% of your time will be spent actively involved in electro-mechanical assembly, with the remaining 40% focused on coordinating workflow, supporting the team and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

This is not a desk-based supervisor position. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, setting standards and driving performance through example.

The Role

Working closely with the Production Manager, you will:

Carry out hands-on electro-mechanical assembly work

Support and coordinate a small team of assembly operators

*

Allocate daily tasks in line with the production plan

*

Oversee Traffic Controller builds, testing and basic quality checks

*

Support safety, quality and delivery performance

*

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues

*

Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement activities

*

Act as the key communication link between operators and management

About You

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electrical or electro-mechanical assembly environment

*

Experience as a Lead Operator, Senior Operator or informal team lead

*

Confident leading day-to-day activity while remaining hands-on

*

Practical problem-solver with a proactive mindset

*

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or CI principles

*

Comfortable working to structured processes and documentation

*

Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
