This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to supporting young learners in overcoming educational barriers and achieving emotional and academic growth.

Role Overview:

As a SEMH Primary TA, you will support primary-aged pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties in both one-to-one and small group settings. Actively contribute to planning interventions and reviewing pupil progress.
Job Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school, alternative provision, or youth work setting.
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and how to adapt learning for children with SEMH challenges.
Ability to implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
A strong understanding of attachment theory, trauma-informed practices and behaviour management strategies.
Resilience, patience and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
What does GSL Education Offer?

Access to dedicated consultants with expert knowledge of SEND and local schools.
Support in securing long-term or permanent roles tailored to your skills and goals.
A chance to work in a rewarding role that directly impacts children's lives and futures.
