Site Manager – SHDF Retrofit (Social Housing)
Cambridge | £30 - £32 per hour (CIS)
Contract Opportunity – long term

About the role:
Build Recruitment are working with a leading contractor delivering SHDF-funded retrofit upgrades across multiple social housing sites in the Midlands. We're seeking a  Site Manager to take the reins across three concurrent sites, focusing on energy efficiency works including EWI, roofing, and window/door replacements.

Key responsibilities for the Site Manager role:

Oversee day-to-day site operations across live retrofit projects
Lead site teams to ensure works are delivered safely on time, and to spec
Ensure compliance with SHDF retrofit requirements and sustainability goals
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and programme timelines
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality control
Work closely with senior management and support junior team members
Requirements:

experience as a Site Manager, ideally on retrofit or social housing schemes
Previous exposure to SHDF or similar decarbonisation/retrofit projects
Valid certifications: SMSTS, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness
Confident communicator and team leader
Comfortable using digital tools for site management
