Internal Tendering / Application Sales
Our client based in Cheshire is looking to strengthen their specialist Electrical Controls department, which manufactures standard and custom control panel solutions and associated equipment. They seek a commercially minded individual with an electrical engineering background to join their team.
In this role, you will liaise directly with clients, generate quotations, follow up on enquiries, and support the sales process. Full training will be provided.
Key Skills & Knowledge for this Internal Tendering / Application Sales role:
Electrical engineering discipline background, ideally with experience in electrical control panels and motors
Proven experience in control system design or a relevant engineering role
Proficient in schematic design software: EPLAN and/or AutoCAD Electrical
Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
Familiarity with HMI, PLC, VSD, and Soft Start technologies
Knowledge of SCADA, network, and telemetry principles and system design
Experience with panel design, assembly, and wiring
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload
Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
Commercial awareness and the ability to build strong client relationshipsDuties & Responsibilities of this Internal Tendering / Application Sales role:
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for control panel and associated equipment solutions
Ensure correct product selection and generate all necessary supporting documentation
Maintain close contact with clients, building rapport and fostering loyalty
Liaise with all internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
Provide feedback on commercial trends and technical changes in electrical legislation
Ensure all product purchases comply with industry and company requirements
Support sales growth by identifying customer needs and offering suitable solutionsDetails of this Internal Tendering / Application Sales role:
Salary: From £26,000
Flexibility to work contracted hours over 4 days (subject to workload).
30 days holiday (including statutory), rising to 33 after one year’s service.
Annual business performance-related bonus (non-contractual).
Auto-enrolment pension (5% employee contribution); employer pays full contribution after 3 years.
