Renewables and Gas Engineer

Location: Cornwall

Salary Details: £40,000 Guaranteed Basic Pay + Job Based Incentives OTE £52,500 + Van with Fuel Card

We’re recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering energy-efficient heating solutions across social housing. This role is ideal for a gas engineer looking to work alongside renewable technologies and develop skills in a future-focused sector.

The Role

You’ll install and maintain gas appliances and central heating systems while supporting the wider shift towards renewable and low-carbon solutions. Working in occupied properties, you’ll ensure all installations and repairs meet the highest safety, quality, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Install and repair gas appliances and renewable systems safely and efficiently

* Deliver high-quality, customer-focused service in social housing environments

* Ensure full compliance with Gas Safe regulations, legislation, and best practice

* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams supporting renewable installations

* Maintain installation timeframes while achieving a high-quality finish

* Participate in an on-call rota when required

Skills & Qualifications

* CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1

* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)

* Unvented hot water qualification (desirable)

* Energy Efficiency qualification (desirable)

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Confident using PDA/mobile systems

Experience Required

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in gas installation

* Experience in Heat Pumps, and renewable products

* Social housing experience preferred

* Experience working directly with residents

* Full UK driving licence

* DBS check required

* Interest or exposure to renewable or low-carbon technologies advantageous
