Electrical Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing engineering business, preparing accurate and timely estimates for projects from pre-tender to post-tender stages. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare tenders consistently in line with company procedures, policies, and standards.

* Produce accurate take-offs, measures, and input into estimating software to ensure project costs are fully understood.

* Review completed projects to compare actual installation time and costs against budgets.

* Liaise with employees and subcontractors to identify and implement best practices.

* Vet enquiries and manage supplier/subcontractor quotations, validating compliance with specifications.

* Prepare product substitution and value engineering options.

* Stay up-to-date with market pricing, competition, and workload trends to produce competitive estimates.

Qualifications & Experience

* Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or in preparing electrical estimations.

* Knowledge of electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

* Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
