Nuclear Project Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Kent - Site Full TIme (4x week)
Rate: Up to £51 an Hour Inside IR35
Contract length: 24 Months
Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a passion for delivering complex engineering projects? We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our team, working on a range of high-profile nuclear and conventional industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a technically strong and collaborative team, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of engineering solutions across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver mechanical engineering support across industrial plant projects and Ensure engineering activities meet all relevant company and national standards.
Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, design teams, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Contribute to the planning and execution of projects in compliance with CDM regulations.
Support the development of project documentation and engineering deliverables.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial plant environment.
Project engineering experience within the nuclear and/or conventional energy sectors and can show a Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards.
Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels.
Familiarity with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
HNC, Degree, or equivalent (NQF Level 5/6) in a relevant engineering discipline.
Awareness of Site Licence conditions and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements (Desired).
Previous involvement in contract management and proven track record in end-to-end project delivery (Desired).
Chartered Engineer status / or working towards (Desired).
