As a Music ECT, you will:

Deliver high-quality Music lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
*
Introduce students to a wide range of genres, instruments, and musical theory
*
Encourage creativity, collaboration, and personal expression through music
*
Support peripatetic staff and run extra-curricular groups (choirs, bands, ensembles)
*
Help plan and support performances, productions, and community events
*
Receive regular mentoring and CPD tailored to your development as a new teacher
*
Work closely with experienced music teachers to refine schemes of work
*
Take part in school-wide arts and enrichment initiatives
An ideal Music ECT will:

Be completing their PGCE or School Direct in Music in 2025
*
Be confident in both classroom teaching and musical performance
*
Be passionate about the role of music in education and youth wellbeing
*
Be committed to contributing to school culture and professional learning
