We are working with a well-established large main contractor that is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Birmingham.

The business delivers major industrial construction projects across the Midlands, with project values up to £70 million, and has a strong forward order book.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for one or more industrial projects, supporting delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account

Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts

Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

Valuations, variations, and change control

Cost reporting and risk management

Supporting project teams with commercial advice and contractual matters

About You

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor

Background in industrial, logistics, or large-scale commercial projects preferred

Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT)

Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills

Based in, or willing to travel across, the Midlands
