About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and committed Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential home in Manchester. This is a rewarding opportunity for a strong leader to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and young people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment that supports positive outcomes for children in care. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the children’s home
*
Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulatory requirements and achieves a minimum ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ rating
*
Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for children and young people
*
Manage and develop a team of care professionals, ensuring they are well-trained, supported, and motivated
*
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
*
Work collaboratively with local authorities, external agencies, and families
*
Manage budgets, resources, and rotas effectively
*
Take lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection in the home
Requirements:
*
Proven experience managing a children’s residential home
*
Recognised Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (Residential pathway) or equivalent
*
In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
*
Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
*
Ability to work flexibly and respond to the needs of the home
