Daily Supply Teacher - Colchester (Flexible / Ad Hoc)

Location: Colchester & surrounding area, Essex
Contract type: Day‑to‑day / temporary / flexible
Start date: Immediate / as available
Pay: £140 - £180 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher to provide daily supply cover across primary and/or secondary schools in the Colchester area. You will support schools in covering short‑term teacher absences, delivering pre‑planned lessons and helping to maintain continuity for students.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering lessons in line with school plans and curriculum guidelines

Managing classes and behaviour in line with the school's policies

Completing required administrative tasks (registers, reporting, etc.)

Providing handovers and liaising with staff as necessary

Adapting to different school settings and subject matter

Person Specification / Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Recent classroom experience (primary or secondary)

Strong behaviour management skills

Flexibility to work across different schools, subjects or key stages

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Professional, adaptable, and reliable
