Vehicle Technician - Portsmouth
Basic Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on level of experience
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:30 (No weekends)

Alecto Recruitment is proudly recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded and progressive automotive business in Portsmouth, currently seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated workshop team.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repair work on a range of vehicles

Diagnosing faults accurately using modern diagnostic equipment

Completing all necessary documentation and service records to a high standard

Performing quality checks and ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and safety standards

Communicating with service advisors and workshop control to ensure timely completion of work

Supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians where required

Candidate Requirements:

Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)

Proven experience in a technician role within a main dealer or quality independent workshop

MOT Tester certification is desirable but not essential

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of workmanship

Full UK driving licence
