Founding Engineer
Location: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in London office)

I am representing a fast-moving, mission-driven start up building an AI-powered clinical knowledge platform.

What You’ll Do:

Build and scale backend services (Python/FastAPI) for ingesting, indexing, and serving medical content.
Develop retrieval infrastructure using vector databases (e.g. PGVector, Pinecone).
Deploy on GCP (Cloud Run, Vertex AI) with Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tools.
Collaborate across product, mobile, and clinical teams to ship weekly.
Ensure secure, compliant data handling
What you need:

5+ years backend experience (Python preferred).
Strong background in ML, search, or recommender systems.
Skilled in vector search, embeddings, and LLM-based RAG.
Hands-on with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Comfortable in early-stage, fast-paced environments.
