I’m recruiting for a leading UK main contractor delivering high-value education projects in Ipswich. We are looking for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor (MQS) to manage three school developments worth £150M.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple school projects from inception to completion.

Lead and mentor a junior QS team.
*
Act as the primary commercial point of contact.
*
Prepare cost plans, procurement strategies, and valuations.
*
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage commercial risks.
Requirements / Skills:
*
Proven experience as a Management Quantity Surveyor on multi-million-pound projects.
*
Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and commercial reporting.
*
Experience in leading and developing QS teams.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*
Commercially proactive with ability to make independent decisions.
