Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within a school setting. Your efforts will help ensure that classrooms, hallways, and other school facilities are hygienic and inviting for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to supporting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Clean and disinfect classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and other school areas in accordance with schedule.

* Dust, wipe down, and sanitise all surfaces to maintain health and safety standards.

* Vacuum carpets and mop floors to keep the premises clean and presentable.

* Properly dispose of waste and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.

* Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the appropriate personnel.

* Communicate effectively with school staff and team members regarding cleaning needs or concerns.

* Follow school-specific cleaning protocols and health & safety procedures to ensure compliance.

Requirements

* Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.

* Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle are essential for travel between multiple school sites if required.

* Strong communication skills and fluency in English.

* Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a school environment.

* Flexibility to work during school hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings, based on operational needs.

Employment Details:

* Contract Type: Part-time, 20 hour per week contract

* Hourly Rate: Up to £16.27 per hour

Schedule:

* Day shifts, Monday to Friday

* No weekend work
