Teaching Assistant - Primary (SEND Experience) | Bury | September 2025 Start ?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bury area, starting in September 2025.

Position: Teaching Assistant (Primary, SEND support)

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role:

You will be working closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of SEND needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The role may involve 1:1 support as well as small group interventions, and you will play a key role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

Experience working in primary schools is essential

Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND

Ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, positive and proactive attitude
