We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in the Cannock area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, especially if you're considering a career in teaching or education.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher. While you won't be expected to plan or mark, your role is vital in maintaining a focused and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students across KS3 and KS4, ensuring work is completed to a high standard

*

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

*

Offer guidance and support to students during lessons

*

Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and engagement

*

Ensure a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

*

Has strong classroom management skills

*

Is confident, calm, and approachable

*

Can work independently and think on their feet

*

Has excellent communication skills

*

Ideally has experience working in schools or with young people (but not essential)

Requirements:

A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

*

Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

*

Safeguarding training (can be provided)
