Spencer Clarke Group are seekign a Homeless Housing Coordinator for a local authority client in North London.

In this role, you will work directly with individuals and families at risk of homelessness, providing expert advice and support to prevent housing loss and promote long-term housing stability.

Key Duties:

Provide early intervention and tailored advice to individuals at risk of homelessness, conducting home visits, and developing personalized housing plans in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
Work closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate support services, ensuring holistic and effective interventions for applicants.
Make legally sound homelessness decisions, manage eviction prevention, and safeguard vulnerable adults and children through timely referrals and interventions.
Maintain accurate case records, contribute to service improvements, and participate in team development to enhance service delivery and support outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Strong understanding of housing legislation, the Homelessness Reduction Act, welfare benefits, and court processes related to evictions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, and legally accurate housing advice.
Skilled in managing complex caseloads, maintaining detailed records, and making sound homelessness decisions.
Confident working across services and agencies, with a solid understanding of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults and children.

What's on offer:

Salary: £27+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
