English Teacher – Darwen

Humly is recruiting a Secondary Teacher QTS to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time role starting 23/03/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This opportunity would suit a confident and engaging English specialist who can take full classroom responsibility across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key role in supporting pupil progress and delivering high-quality English lessons, with the potential for the role to extend based on school needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing, and analytical skills

*

Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment

*

Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to pupils

*

Contributing to the wider English department and curriculum delivery

What You’ll Bring

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities

Pay

Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
