About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established school in Blackburn to recruit a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences for young children in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Purpose of the Role

As an Early Years Educator, you will support the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging activities and play-based learning. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child thrives and reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to Early Years developmental needs.
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning and well-being.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding progress and concerns.
Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements (EYFS).
Model positive behaviour and uphold school policies.
Attend parent events, staff meetings, and training sessions for CPD.
Support the senior team to achieve strong inspection outcomes.
Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Requirements

Full and relevant Level 2 qualification (Essential).
Full and relevant Level 3 qualification (Essential).
Post-qualification experience (Essential).
Understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures (Essential).
Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults (Essential).
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise (Essential).
Commitment to equality, diversity, and child welfare (Essential).
Paediatric First Aid and CPD (Desirable).
