SEN Teaching Assistant - Heywood (Rochdale Area)

Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Heywood (OL10 area).

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

Contract / Position Details:

Location: Heywood, Rochdale (OL10 area)

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Type of work: 1:1 support with an SEN pupil, assisting with classroom activities, learning tasks, and emotional regulation

Start date: November 2025

Duration: 1 term (with potential to extend)

Contract type: Temporary

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Pay rate: Dependent on experience and pay scale

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year's experience supporting SEN pupils in KS1 or KS2 (preferred but not essential)

Up-to-date safeguarding training (issued within the last year)

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

To be eligible for this role through Prospero, you must:

Have the right to work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
