Alexander Steele are working exclusively with a reputable food manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for their site.

The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team, this is a multifaceted role encompassing design, maintenance support, fabrication, and providing rapid response to equipment breakdowns.

Responsibilities:

* Be responsible for designing, modifying, and maintaining mechanical equipment on site.

* Ensure that all fabricated and welded components meet food industry standards.

* Carry out in-house repairs and provide rapid response to equipment breakdowns requiring welding, fabrication, or machining.

* Create CAD drawings for reference and future use, and machine parts to put into stock.

* Conduct repairs and improvements to ensure equipment reliability, minimise breakdowns, and extend the lifespan of critical assets.

* Oversee and maintain various systems including tortilla lines, chips lines, packaging equipment, silos, pumps, and mixers.

On offer:

Annual Salary of £47,500

Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours p.w - days)

Includes Sick Pay, Death in Service, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
