Band 6 LOCUM Specialist Occupational Therapist - Redbridge Children's Services
Location: Kenwood Gardens Clinic, Redbridge
Division: Targeted Services
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Duration: Ongoing contract (full-time)
Pay Rate: £24-£30 per hour (,umbrella equivalent)

Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Redbridge Children's Targeted Services Team at Kenwood Gardens Clinic. The post focuses on completing Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments for children and young people aged 0-19, supporting their development and participation within school and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake EHC needs assessments for children and young people aged 0-19

Carry out both formal and informal/non-standardised assessments to inform clinical recommendations

Provide clear, detailed, and outcome-focused written reports for EHC plans

Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, and multi-disciplinary professionals

Contribute to service delivery planning and case discussions

Support children in mainstream schools with environmental adaptations and practical strategies

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with service standards

Essential Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy

HCPC Registration (Occupational Therapist)

Demonstrable experience within paediatric OT, particularly in EHC assessments and mainstream school settings

Strong report writing and communication skills

Ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team

Experience with children's therapy assessments (formal and informal tools)

Desirable:

Experience within community paediatrics or children's therapy teams

Previous local authority or NHS experience
