The HR Advisor plays a key role in supporting the management of various HR resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compliance and performance management. Working closely with the Head of HR, you will ensure that the overall HR strategy of the company is achieved.

This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach, with a focus on building positive relationships across the organisation and supporting employees throughout the HR lifecycle.

The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:

To take the lead on the design and implementation of the companies training programs which ensure our employees skills and knowledge are enhanced thus contributing to the company’s success.

To support with the management of the recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate screening, conducting interviews and facilitation the onboarding of new employees.

To supporting with the creation, updating and implementation of HR policies and procedures ensuring the company is compliant with all UK laws and regulations.

To act as a point of contact for employee enquires, address concerns and foster a positive workplace environment and escalate as appropriate to the Head of HR.

To support when required any performance management issues both informally and formally, assisting in goal setting and providing guidance on employee development. Advising on objective setting and performance improvement plans (PIPs)Coaching managers on giving feedback and handling underperformance.

To support and monitor sickness absence and advising on return-to-work processes. Advising on reasonable adjustments and wellbeing initiatives and supporting mental health and wellbeing conversations

To support the overall compliance process in ensuring all employees have accurate and up to date records and documentation. Maintain HR systems to enable effective reporting.

To embed our culture and engagement by supporting values, behaviours, and company culture, advising on employee engagement initiatives and supporting internal communications related to people matters.

The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:

Educated to Level 5 CIPD or Level 3 with qualification by experience in a previous HR position with a strong understanding of HR best practices, Training & Development needs and employment laws.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential in order to build relationships with employees.

Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Ability to address employee issues ad conflicts with a solution-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications; however, training will be given where required:

Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent

Other details:

You will primarily be based across our Chesterfield and Sheffield offices but will be required to travel and visit our academies on occasion
