Controls & Electrical Design Engineer

A well-established UK automation specialist at the forefront of industrial automation is looking to recruit a Controls & Electrical Design Engineer. You will support the design and delivery of advanced inspection and automation systems used by blue-chip manufacturers worldwide.

£50,000-£60,000 DOE

The Role

Design electrical panels and control systems using AutoCAD Electrical

Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation

PLC and HMI programming and system integration for industrial automation machinery

Support system commissioning and testing, both in-house and at customer sites

Work closely with mechanical, controls, and applications engineering teams

Assist with electrical build, fault-finding, and problem-solving during manufacture

The Person

3+ years' experience in electrical design within industrial automation

Strong AutoCAD Electrical experience

PLC programming knowledge. Siemens and/or Allen Bradley

Good understanding of machinery safety and industrial control systems

Logical, organised, and able to work to project deadlines

Electrical Engineering qualification. Degree desirable

Knowledge of robotics or machine vision advantageous
