Family Support Worker – Family Assessment Centre
? Location: Sawbridgeworth, CM21
? Pay: £12.50 – £13.50 per hour
⏰ Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Day shifts only)
? Contract: Permanent Role
 
Are you passionate about supporting families and making a real difference in children's lives? We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join a dedicated team at a Family Assessment Centre in Sawbridgeworth (CM21).

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with families during their assessment process, offering hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to help them move forward in a positive and safe environment.

? Key Responsibilities:

Support families with day-to-day routines and parenting tasks during assessments
Build positive working relationships with parents to help them address challenges
Provide practical advice and emotional support to both parents and children
Contribute to and follow care plans to ensure children's safety and wellbeing
Keep clear, accurate records and reports on family progress
Work alongside other professionals such as social workers and healthcare staff
Offer hands-on care and supervision, particularly with babies and toddlers✅ What We are Looking For:

Experience working with children, families, or in a childcare setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
Passionate about making a positive impact on families' livesThe Family Assessment Centres focus on supporting parents in caring for their young children and building strong, healthy relationships. Much of this role involves hands on care with babies and toddlers, so experience in early years or similar is essential.
