A specialist SEMH school in Huddersfield is seeking a One to One SEMH Support Assistant to provide consistent, therapeutic support for students requiring emotional, behavioural, and learning guidance.

The Role of a One to One SEMH Support Assistant:

Provide 1:1 support for secondary pupils with SEMH needs
Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement in lessons
Assist with differentiated learning, routines, and therapeutic strategies
Help implement individual behaviour plans, IEPs, and targets
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, families, and external professionalsWere looking for a One to One SEMH Support Assistant who has:

Experience supporting secondary pupils with SEMH or complex behavioural needs
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Confidence using de-escalation, restorative practices, and relationship-led strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
