ENGINEER

OVERVIEW:

JS Bailey Ltd is a well-established independent privately family-owned business which has been operating for over 40 years, we are currently seeking a full-time engineer to join our team.

As a multi skilled engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring reliable operation and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and systems. You’ll play a key part in delivering engineering excellence and supporting continuous improvement across production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance tasks to meet operational demands.

* Support production teams by taking on ad hoc operational tasks when required.

* Communicate effectively with managers and engineering leadership using relevant reporting systems.

* Work independently and collaboratively within the team.

* Maintain safety standards

* Diagnose and repair plant and equipment efficiently and professionally.

* Assist external contractors and specialist engineers when required.

* Record maintenance activities accurately

* Plan and prioritize workload to minimize downtime and maximize output.

* Monitor and manage spare parts usage and stock control.

About You:

* Multi-skilled engineer with experience.

* Strong engineering/electrical and maintenance knowledge or relevant experience in FMCG equipment in manufacturing environments, would be advantageous.

* Proven ability to work proactively and autonomously.

* Positive attitude toward continuous improvement and high operational standards.

* Flexible and adaptable across engineering and production areas.

* Commitment to maintaining health, safety, and compliance standards.

Benefits:

* Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm or 6 am to 2.30pm to suit.

* Holidays: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays.

* Pay: Rate £35,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
