Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated engineer to support the sales team in maintaining and expanding business within the manufacturing industry. This role requires a proactive self-starter with a strong understanding of metal cutting and machining processes, particularly within aerospace, oil & gas, and automotive sectors.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to customers and the sales team, contribute to business development, and build strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance to the sales team and end-user customers
• Report on the progress of technical projects to sales and regional management
• Deliver technical reports and identify cost-saving opportunities for customers
• Work independently to generate new business opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements
• Provide product training to customers and distribution partners
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Respond effectively to customer needs and technical challenges
Qualifications
Industry Experience:
Preferably a time-served engineer with experience in aerospace, oil & gas, or automotive industries
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of metal cutting and machining processes
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Problem-Solving:
Resourceful with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
IT Proficiency:
Competent in using IT tools and software for sales support and reporting
