A client of ours is seeking a Project Payroll & People Advisor to support key updates to payroll system configuration, focusing on absence and pension reporting. This role is project-based and does not involve processing payroll but rather testing, analysis and system improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Test and review payroll elements and absence configuration
Support system changes to improve statutory absence processing
Assist in updating reporting processes for Teachers' and Local Government pensions
Conduct user acceptance testing and provide clear feedback
Ensure changes align with payroll legislation and complianceWhat You'll Need:

Strong payroll knowledge, including PAYE, NI, and statutory absences
Manual calculation ability and excellent attention to detail
Ideally, experience with Local Government and Teachers' Pensions
Confident using Excel and working with third-party payroll systems
Analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Desirable - experience using Oracle
