We are currently recruiting reliable and proactive School Caretakers to support a number of secondary schools in Tower Hamlets on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and a background in facilities, maintenance, or site support to play a vital role in maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.

? Role Overview:

Location: Secondary schools across Tower Hamlets

Start Date: Immediate or negotiable

Contract Type: Temporary/Contract via education agency

Working Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri) - hours may vary slightly by school

Rate: Competitive daily rate, paid weekly

? Responsibilities:

Opening and closing school premises

General site maintenance, including minor repairs and upkeep

Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld at all times

Supporting with deliveries, cleaning, and equipment set-up

Reporting issues and liaising with site managers and school staff

✅ Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar caretaker, facilities, or site role

A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills

Flexibility and willingness to travel within Tower Hamlets

An enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service or willing to apply)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
