Job Overview

Join our clients team of operators to process customer orders to specifications using a range of CNC machinery. Current vacancies include operating CNC saws, drills, and rapid and plasma profiling machines. Additionally, the roles will involve using CombiLifts (multi-directional forklifts). If you have experience in any of these areas, we would love to hear from you!

Salary

Day Shift: £25,000 - £29,500 per annum
Mid Shift: £29,000 - £34,000 per annum
Night Shift: £32,000 - £37,500 per annumSalaries are dependent on experience and shift assignments, plus benefits and potential discretionary bonuses. These ranges include shift premiums where applicable.

Overtime

Pre-authorised overtime is available at time and a half after 40 hours.

Shifts Available

Day Shift (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday
Mid Shift (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday
Night Shift (40 hours per week): Sunday to ThursdayAll shifts include a 30-minute paid break. Training will be conducted during the day shift.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operate a variety of manual and CNC machinery for metal processing.
Process steel according to customer specifications and tolerances, ensuring full traceability of orders within the company's quality system.
Competently read drawings and orders, follow verbal instructions, and train others in these areas.
Work to high standards under your own initiative and pressure.
Safely operate forklifts, CombiLifts, and cranes in a controlled manner.
Collaborate with the team to process steel to order as and when needed.
Collate orders, including banding, palletising, bagging, and preparing for loading.
Load and offload plates and parts from plasma machines.
Identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
