We are seeking 2 dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work closely with primary aged students who require additional support. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting teachers in providing tailored support for students with SEND, ensuring they have the resources and guidance necessary to achieve their full potential.

We have two active vacancies – one in a welcoming and inclusive ASD primary school that values diversity and strives to provide the best educational experience for every student. They are dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and are looking for a compassionate, committed, and skilled Teaching Assistant to join the team.

The other role is within a mainstream primary school, in a specialist unit for learners with a range of SEND, from ASD to SEMH and MLD.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEND in the classroom, predominantly ASD and MLD.

* Assist in the implementation of EHCPs alongside the class teacher and other professionals.

* Help students with specific learning needs, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess student progress.

* Support students with personal care or mobility needs, as required.

* Encourage and maintain positive relationships with students, fostering their independence and confidence.

* Provide feedback and support to parents/carers as directed by the class teacher and SENCo.

Person Specification:

* Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEND.

* Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support these needs.

* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to use initiative and be flexible in your approach to supporting students.

* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).

* A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for helping students succeed.
