Quokka Education is proud to be supporting an Outstanding day and residential special school for boys aged 10–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including ADHD, Autism, and challenging behaviour.
We’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team full-time from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and personalised support.
About the Role:
* Support pupils with SEN needs, working alongside class teachers and specialists
* Provide 1:1 or small group support, tailored to individual learning and behavioural needs
* Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional development
* Contribute to structured, creative lesson delivery that engages and motivates pupils
* Support with behaviour management and promote pupil wellbeing
* Record and monitor pupil progress, collaborating with the wider team
Who We’re Looking For:
* Enthusiastic and nurturing individuals with a passion for supporting young people
* Backgrounds in education, care, psychology, youth work or sports coaching welcome
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential
* Able to adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of pupils
* Committed to safeguarding and the wider values of inclusive education
* A team player who brings positivity, resilience, and a sense of humour to their role

Role Details:
* Location: Eastleigh
* Start Date: September 2025
* Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
* Hours: 8:40am – 3:10pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
* Actual Salary (Term Time Only): Approx. £17,400 – £18,000
