1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 3 – Social & Emotional Support)
Humly is recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a temporary basis.
This is a part-time role starting 23/02/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. The role would suit a dedicated professional who can provide consistent, focused support to a Year 3 pupil with social and emotional needs, helping them to engage with learning and regulate within the classroom. An EHCP is currently being assessed, and the school is keen to put additional support in place as soon as possible.
What You’ll Be Doing

Support the pupil on a 1:1 basis within the classroom environment
*
Implement strategies to help the pupil engage with learning and manage emotions
*
Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt lessons and resources as needed
*
Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress and wellbeing
*
Encourage positive social interaction and confidence-building
*
Assist with classroom routines and transitions to ensure consistency
What You’ll Bring

Previous experience supporting pupils with social and emotional needs

Ability to work calmly and consistently in a classroom setting
*
Strong communication skills with both children and staff
*
Patience, empathy, and understanding of individual pupil needs
*
Flexibility and reliability to support mornings only as required
*
Willingness to follow guidance from SENCo or other specialists
Pay
£14.85 per hour
