You will be supporting a gentleman in his 50s who is living with the effects of an acquired brain injury. He lives independently in his own home but requires structured support, prompts, and encouragement with daily activities.
The role involves helping the client maintain independence, engage with the community, and follow daily routines while ensuring his safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 support in the client’s home and community
Prompting and supporting with daily living activities (e.g., personal care, routines, and household tasks)
Medication administration in line with training and care plans
Supporting the client to attend community activities and social groups
Encouraging engagement in structured activities and therapy routines
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
Supporting with meal preparation and maintaining a balanced diet
Driving the client to appointments and activities where requiredYou will be part of a wider team working collaboratively to help him maintain independence and quality of life.
Requirements:
Medication trained
Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
Compassionate, reliable, and person-centred approach
