Tooling Engineer

About the Role: We’re currently seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to support a series of tooling trials and development activities for an established Tier 1 automotive supplier. This is an excellent contract opportunity for an engineer with hands-on plastics tooling experience, ideally within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support during tooling trials, modifications, and validations.
Liaise with suppliers, tooling manufacturers, and internal teams to resolve tooling issues.
Review and interpret tooling designs, specifications, and trial data.
Recommend improvements to tooling performance, cycle times, and component quality.
Support tooling introduction and commissioning processes into production.About You:
Strong, hands-on Tooling Engineer experience, ideally within plastic injection moulding.
Experience working within an Automotive Tier 1 or manufacturing environment preferred.
Proven track record supporting tooling trials and tooling project delivery.
Good understanding of tooling tolerances, modifications, and production processes.
