We are working with an NHS Trust who are seeking to appoint an Interim Senior Integration Developer. The role will be for 6 months initially.

The postholder must have significant experience using Rhapsody in order to fulfil the needs of this position.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing new interfaces using appropriate tools and methods. These will primarily consist of HL7 messaging but may include other related tools;
Monitoring and supporting the Trusts integration engine software;
Providing advice and guidance on all interfacing and integration issues;
Troubleshooting issues within the trusts SQL environment;
Liaising with the system suppliers with regard to problems or developments. This includes the logging of problems (through the Help Desk when appropriate) and the processing of these until an acceptable solution has been found;
Documenting all new developments and fixes within the IM&T knowledgebase;
Designing and developing operational reports within the trusts EPR;
To specify, program, test and implement the solution and review with users/third parties making any necessary amendments;
Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the Integration team;
Following the IM&T Change Management process when implementing new interfaces and technical changes and bug fixes to existing interfaces;
Abiding by the Trusts Core behaviours for staff and all other Trust policies, codes and practices including standing financial instructions, research governance, clinical governance, patient and public involvement, codes and practices, and health and safety.

The ideal candidate will have:

Relevant degree or 3 years equivalent experience
Demonstrable success of achievement in assisting in developing large complex IT environments;
Demonstrable success of achievement of managing the technical aspects of projects tasks;
Significant experience using Rhapsody.
