Sales Manager | Salary: Basic £50-55k + uncapped commission and excellent benefits | Based in Basildon, Essex. Hybrid working available after initial onboarding / training period.

We have an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join a dynamic and market leading business within the portable welfare unit hire sector. As the Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving growth by achieving your own new business sales targets and nurturing new accounts through their crucial first year. You will also lead a team of Senior Sales Executives, providing guidance, motivation, and strategic direction to ensure the consistent achievement of your own and team sales targets.

This is a dynamic role for a proactive leader with a proven track record in new business development and a passion for building high-performing sales teams. The role will be target-based and requires a proactive approach to sales. Regular client visits are expected, via Teams, in-house and off-site.

Sales Manager Main Tasks:

Sales and New Business Development

Achieve and Exceed Individual new business targets.
Strategic Growth: Identify and develop new clients, market sectors, and operational areas to achieve ambitious growth targets and overall gross income goals.
Manage and grow a portfolio of new accounts for their first 12 months
Lead Generation: Actively seek out and develop new clients through various channels, including cold calling, prospecting, and converting inbound inquiries (calls, chats, emails).
Quoting and Documentation: Prepare professional quotes and necessary hire paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Team Leadership and Management

Directly responsible for the performance of a team of Senior Sales Executives, ensuring their individual targets are consistently met.
Coaching and development, motivation and retention, and performance monitoring.
Strategy and Market Insight

Contribute to and execute the short, medium, and long-term sales and marketing strategy to enhance the customer experience and achieve sales targets.
Continuously identify new customers and emerging markets.
Propose innovative ideas for sales campaigns and review marketing effectiveness.
Product Feedback and market analysis
Experience and Personal Characteristics:

Proven experience in a similar Sales Manager / Sales Team Leader role, demonstrating success in individual new business development and team leadership.
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a sales team.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organised.
Proficiency in CRM software.
Experience within the construction hire sector or similar would be an advantage.
 Experience in strategic sales planning and execution would be advantageous.
