Our client is an independent firm of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) consulting engineers with specialisms in Lighting, Building performance and Mission Critical. Founded over 40 years ago, the company has previously operated as a multi-disciplinary practice offering civil and structural design, project management, and building services design. After a management buyout, the focus shifted to delivering high-quality building services design. They take pride in ensuring client satisfaction, leading to repeat business through effective collaboration with both the team and external project partners. They have preserved a diverse skill set and the capability to provide high-quality solutions across all stages of the design process for a variety of clients, including developers, end-users, contractors, and public organisations. My client is looking to appoint a permanent Revit MEP BIM Coordinator to be based out of Manchester office.
Location: Manchester
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience and skills
Employment type: Permanent
Purpose of the Role:
The primary responsibility is to support mechanical and electrical design engineers across various project types. This includes managing Revit models according to engineering redlines for mechanical and plumbing systems, as well as collaborating with other technicians and engineers to ensure coordination of various building systems. Additionally, this role will work alongside the CAD Manager to maintain and develop Revit families within the Revit database. Autocad will also be used for different 2D design tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proficient with Revit MEP
* Proficient with AutoCAD, Word, Excel
* Navisworks experience
* Familiarity with Outlook and FTP software
* Previous experience working in the UK M&E Design consultancy or Design and Build contractor.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deliverable deadlines
* Work well individually and in a team environment
* Complete work in an efficient and accurate manner
* Classify and file engineering drawings
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Maintain a positive attitude and good public relations
