An ambitious secondary school within Star Academies is seeking a Subject Lead for Art to provide strong curriculum and departmental leadership.

This role suits an outstanding Art teacher ready to step into, or continue in, middle leadership.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead Art across KS3 and KS4, including curriculum, assessment, and standards

-Drive high-quality teaching and learning through coaching and support

-Use data to raise attainment, particularly for disadvantaged pupils

-Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment opportunities

-Support KS2-KS3 transition within the subject

Person Specification

-QTS and a relevant degree (2:2 or above)

-Proven track record of strong or outstanding Art teaching

-Secure subject knowledge to GCSE level

-Ability to motivate, support, and challenge colleagues

-High expectations of behaviour, engagement, and outcomes
