Maintenance Engineer (534 / 27413)

Shift pattern: mixture of Earlies, Days & Lates - NO Weekends

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a company operating within a highly automated environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

Provide electrical and mechanical support across production and packaging machinery
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to reduce downtime
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement tasks
Support the installation and integration of new equipment and technology Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain performance, efficiency, and safety standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 3)
Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and preventative maintenance ability
Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
A team player with strong communication skills; self-motivated and adaptable
Experience within FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
Familiar with RCM, FMEA, PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and automated equipment
Experience across multi-disciplinary engineering projects
Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings (NVQ3 minimum)
Working on motors, gearboxes, chain drives, conveyors, pumps, and bearings
3‑phase & single‑phase electrical systems, basic PLC knowledge, inverters and control systems
Steam boilers, steam & condensate systems, heat exchangers, and soft water plant
